I am Edward R. Padalinski, a life long world traveler from my days born as an Army Brat with a life that started traveling from shortly after my birth. I grew up in many parts of the USA and Germany as my father’s career in the US Army forced us to move around frequently. With a Polish father and German mother, we always requested to be stationed in Germany as in the 1960s there were no Poland options.
Even though we lived in these different places, my parents were always willing to travel and see the world that we lived in. So, we took many weekend trips and vacations to different parts of Europe like Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Germany seeing the sights around these places like normal tourists. My father loved zoos and circuses, so we visited our share of those! Our moves took us across the USA in our car and we always made the most of the drive by visiting all the attractions each state had to offer. I guess my traveling bug was born in this nomadic life and was encouraged by my parents.
Later in life when I had my own family, I still had that traveling bug and we traveled extensively as a family when my kids were very young. We asked them about Christmas gifts or trips and they chose trips, so off we went each year to places around the USA and Europe. From Walt Disney World, to Hawaii, to Germany, to California, to New York City; we always made those annual trips.
I ended up starting a motorcycling traveling life in my 50s, so that took me to so many places on 2 wheels; logging over 200,000 miles on motorcycles. Those trips ranged from simple day trips around Colorado or as far as Newfoundland for one of my last trips lasting 30 days and 10,000 miles! I traveled all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada and even a 2 week trip in Europe. That traveling life brought its own experiences that I will never forget and it certainly kept my traveling bug going!
I relocated to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico over 10 years ago and I decided that I would continue to do traveling and so I began to plan my trips with a friend in 2017 that this blog starts with and I hope you enjoy my insights, planning, and adventures. If you have not been able to travel like I have, please do it! It is a life time of memories that you will never forget.
